Cellest, the Goddess of Civilization. Her power works in conjunction with Sophia's, taking things a step further to cover issues relating to organization and coexistance. Depending on the state of your world, you may not think her power does anything. That was certainly the thought I had, coming from mine. The next was whether or not it was a trespass upon free will. Were we forming into countries because of her? In truth, her power works as a stopgap against greed. When a world is balanced enough, people begin to feel her presense, making it easier to balance whats good for us with whats good for our fellow mortals. This doesn't necessarily mean organizing into nations, but just achieving the right sort of give and take. Of course, being that this does deal with 'intelligent' mortals, and free will, just what her power actually does is still somewhat ambiguous. Even when you more accurately call her the Goddess of Civility, it's pretty much up to us to make it work.
Does it make you nervous that the Goddess of Civilization wears armor and carries a sword? I know it made me nervous. Was it a representation of what civilizations did, or did it mean something else? What it came down to was that the goddesses, though despising war, do recognize the need for civilized peoples to be able to defend themselves, and so the copacity to stand and fight had to be retained. Cellest herself is another very serious minded Goddess among my esteemed employers. She is responsible for much of the organization of the nexus, and handles a lot of the nitty gritty matters I don't have time to get to. She also helps rebalanced demons join into society, though most of them go to work for the goddesses. I rarely see her in her free time, except for when she spars with Freydis-Ariel, so I'm not really sure what she does. Though I see her come and go from mortal realms with supplies for, um, building miniatures. So I think she builds little worlds. Anyway...
In battle she fills me with defensive knowledge, as well as an encyclopedia's worth of information on whatever world I am in. That way I know the customs of the land, as well as the language, and can carry out my duties with the necessary respect toward wherever I am currently working.
