She doesn't talk to me,though shes wide awake
Its for my own good but the silence is hard to take

She may have another lover, someone else in her bed
But yes I must remember what my ex-lover said

"I never want to hurt you. Your hearts not mine to break.
I know it will be hard but that silence, you must take."

She does it because she loves me, and this I must believe
For if I don't then it will be too easy to recede

I may have some hope. Together again? We'll see.
But I must tell myself she does it because she loves me
