Inspired by a friend

There's a girl in this world, all alone she may feel,
with emotions that swirl, and a heart strong as steel.

She endures more than most, deserves more than anyone
a love that's supposed to be the one for her, the only one.

She has a heartbeat so fast for a love that's meant to last,
but she just can't get over the one that's from her past.

With closed eyes she cries and with open tears, she fears,
she will never have the one that she's waited on for years.

But then that guy shows up, and tells her of a life.
One that she could have with him, be his girlfriend, then his wife.

She opens up to him, with a tear filling her eye,
and he wipes it away, leaving her asking why?

He said "I love you, please be with me.
I need you to be complete."

She said "I love you too.
I'm nothing without you."

The butterflies are there, as they seal it with a kiss.
And they live on together, forever, in bliss..
