Bio: Kato was born to a middle class family and went to a regular public schools all his life. He was a good kid, never experimenting with drugs, alcohol, or girls (though the latter was more because he was interested in other men). When he reached high school he joined the gymnastics team and proved to be quite talented in that area, often winning trophies and team championships. However, just two weeks before the national championship he was coming home alone from a party with his friends and teammates when he managed to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Unfortunately, he had to cross through a bad neighborhood on his way home and happened to enter the crossfire of a turf war between two gangs. By the time the authorities arrived, the gang members had disappeared and Kato had passed on.

Fortunately, he was given a second chance at life by the reaper. Deciding he would return to some semblance of his former life and serve as a soldier in the war against evil, Kato took the chance. Now he serves the good reaper, taking down those zombies that would wreak havoc on the living in the hopes that he may somehow reconcile his own death in his mind.
