I still love you deep inside
With the pieces of my shattered heart
It's still the root to all I am
But it's been so long it's fading
I thought you'd always be there
When I needed to talk
But apparently when it's about us

But when it's about my leaving you

Trying to realize the truth

Maybe you just got tired of fighting

Because it'd be so much harder with the child
That we had planned to have in a few years

As a souvenir and reminder
