Akhu in the Sky
I see you watching me from the moving clouds
Eyes peaking through the white and blue
Gazing upon the sky makes me feel so calm
And I wonder if looking down on me you feel calm too
It’s as though you’ve never left me here
Standing with my feet firmly in the dirt so brown
But I know that you are happy there beyond
Able to dance and play without even a frown
I must thank you for your continued support
Even though I know you could make better with your time
But to be perfectly honest, I feel very pleased
To have as attentive akhu, as you are mine.
