A Mostly-Forgotten Journal
The notes and thoughts of Charlie A. Graves, Aekean guardsman.
October 23, 2010

I all but forgot I had a journal entirely. You see, I was rearranging my apartment today – annoying that the only new countertops I got were bright yellow – and found this old thing under the bed. There weren’t any entries, but I remember getting this years ago. Might as well put it to some use, eh?

I’ll start with a brief recap on my life, I suppose. Warm this thing up for once.
My name is Charles Charlie Graves, I’m 24, I lost my arms in an accident as a kid (explaining the drill/robot arms), and I work for the Aekean guard. My life isn’t too terribly interesting, save for helping out during crisises, like the cult wars last year and many Animated attacks.

But the most interesting things that’ve happened to me happened recently. This Summer I went on an adventure to who-the-hell knows where, defeated some evil businessman, got a magical tree-rock, almost lost everything (even though I did lose my best friend) and went on an adventure to save a flying octopus caught on firewith a crazy/wonderful girl I now call my girlfriend. Funny how things work.

I still can barely recognize how weird things’ve been, and yet they haven’t quite gone back to normal yet. Maybe because I’m actually happy with my life?

God I suck at journals, especially when a lot has happened, but I don’t know what to say.

There are recent reports of paranormal activity. I feel the need to investigate. One of the ghosts is rumored to be the great Amazon Crusher – if that’s the case, I’m excited. Maybe I’ll get a spectral autograph? The whole idea of ghosts seems to be dumb to me overall, but I dunno… I guess I’m just a doubter? I guess we’ll have to see what’s right and what’s wrong.

After everything, I dunno what’s really true much at all.
