I haven't tried to update this in quite a while, so here I go! What do I say? It's been so long, I'd like to cover everything that crosses my mind... but then I forget. Anyway. Baby Kaleb, born October 7th at 12:59 pm, weighing 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and 20 inches long, has definitely changed our whole lives! I still find it weird when I walk through the house and there's a spot of baby blue or ducky print clothing laying around, mixed in with all our clothes. He's a handsome baby I think, especially with those grey eyes! I wonder who he got those from! I can't stand it when anyone Kevin knows looks at him and goes 'Oh, he looks just like Kevin!' Bullshit! He's got my sister's nose, and looks like my mom sometimes. That baby can make some faces.
He's a good baby too, unless he wants a bottle or needs to be changed. He also has this habit of pooping while feeding, so yeah. It's a learning experience every day!

I also have a job now! I put in where my older sister used to work near home, a plus size womens' store. They called me back at the end of September. Three hour shifts, and mainly customer service? Oh heck yeah! It's funny because my manager told me that I'm not shy when dealing with customers, where as at my first job, I was told I was too shy. One lady actually called me 'Too cheerful!' I blush, but moving on.

I'm also trying for another job. Dillards finally called me back, but I just don't think it was meant to be. I was on the fence about it at first, but the idea of working with friends tempted me and I tried to call them back. I could not get the right number for the life of me. This went on for like three days. Even though I still wonder if I should try, I won't. There was also another reason I wasn't too crazy about absolutely landing a place there. So there was this guy, really good looking, always was nice to me, when I worked in the mall. He used to always come for some cookies. I talked to him when I was in there one day and it kind of just dawned on me, that he might really like me. Him and another guy too, actually. But yeah, something about the way he talked to me, and then I realized that he would like to come around when I was working, and once, when there were like three of us behind the counter, he requested me specifically to help him. Back to the conversation we were having at the time. He was doing something with some perfume, and just to show my sister who was watching, that I was sure this guy was into me, I asked him to let me have a bit. He actually did! It was gucci! I panicked and just put a bit on my wrists and hurry and gave it back to him, then ran away. I could not work there with that sort of temptation hanging around.

Speaking of odd encounters with the opposite sex.....
So one day I was in the mall on my own, in the game store trying to find something my sister and I could play. This guy was already in the store talking to one of the employees. In his arms was his toddler. I noticed him, but didn't pay him any mind UNTIL he came over and started talking to me. He starts complimenting me, peppered with questions about where I work and all that good stuff. he mentions several times that he's there with his baby mama, and that she'll be meeting him there soon. I'm kind of dumbstruck at the fact this man might seriously be trying to hit on me while he has his kid. So the conversation is taking longer than it should have, because one of the guys who works there comes over and asks if he can help him. He then points to ME as if I asked for help, when I would've been just fine browsing on my own. So, so starts about fifteen minutes of us pouring over games, because apparently they don't get a lot of (black?) girls who play games. Poor guy, he was trying, but everything he offered was either over my budget or not my thing. All the while, this other guy is STILL hanging around. So finally, I tell him I can handle it on my own, and then Mr. Baby Daddy comes back, starting up the conversation again. I was so happy when his Baby Mama came in, thinking this would put an end to the madness. That man went right on talking to me, and even was telling her about what he thought of me. All the while, she's shooting me the stink eye like I'm encouraging it. Finally, she turns to him and says, 'Well if you think she's so cute, why don't you ask her for her number?' Shoot me now, Lord. I speak up then and mention I already have a boyfriend, then busy myself with looking at the games again. I hear him say 'See, I should have known that a girl like that would already have a boyfriend,' to which she replies 'A girl like that?' I told him he had dug himself a deep enough hole after that, and as far as I'm concerned, that was the end of the conversation. I did see that man again, but that is for another time! To top it off, I didn't even like the two games I settled on.

Well, I think that's good enough for now.
