Carnations: Ch 1
“Connor, wait up!” I yelled across the ever populous airport. We were being separated by hundreds of busy, ignorant people all in their own self-centered world off to another place in the physical world.

We had quite the gorgeous day on our hands to be heading on a vacation to the Bahamas. The weather was pleasantly warm and the sun shone through marshmallow clouds that littered the silken blue sky. It all accentuated the wonderful occasion and the excitement of the event. A week before I received five tickets to the Bahamas courtesy of Insert Corporation’s Name HERE(havnt figured that part out yet). They were having some sort of promotion and I won. The odd thing about it though was I could not remember entering any contests recently, but with my multitasking mistake record I could have just forgotten or told my receptionist the “yes, even though I’m not listening to a word you are saying and have no idea what you’re talking about”. I decided to take the tickets and plan my long awaited vacation with some close friends. Being a self-admitting work-a-holic everyone agreed it was time for me to put down the medical records, prescriptions, and test booklets. I was studying for my masters in Cell and Molecular Biology while running my business at the head of Regenerative Medicine research in the nation(not sure about this whole occupation... or even if I want it to be part of the paragraph...). You can only imagine what all of this entails, and that can only emphasize my need for a vacation.

May add paragraph or 2 w/ descriptions of people…

Thus, here I am, inappropriately and unavoidably being shoved into people in this overcrowded airport (a good reminder of why I traditionally don’t travel). I desperately try to keep up with Myrtle who is tailing Connor who is tailing Arella and Jane who were pushing their way toward our exit. A heard of bulls couldn’t navigate this situation effectively. Scrambling through these people trying to catch up made my adrenaline rush. Frantic nerves began to take over me as if I were a child being pull away from her mother. As the worry took over I looked around the airport. At first seeking my companions but soon I was struck by glances of serious of men in reflective sunglasses at every angle. As my dizzying head shot up and down, left to right, subtle feelings set into my spine. In the blink of an eye, microscopic mountains with finely iced peaks crawled across my external organ.

I stopped dead in my tracks and looked at the panoramic trap that ensued before me. I glimpsed a man in a dark black suit come behind Mrtyle and watched him jerk away. A quick look at Jane up ahead showed me that she was struggling with a man in a dark blue blazer with the same shining sun glasses. Before I could react, in less than a moment, I felt a cold hand grab my arm and a pinch through my side. I went to turn and tumbled, unknowing of the paralyzing agent running through my veins. This man in sunglasses quickly caught me and began to drag me from the crowd. My body had forsaken me and my vision began to turn into broad spots of color. The bright sunlight that poured into the wide glass windows overhead was my last blurred vision.

Only for a moment after that did I briefly open my eyes enough to see the vast concrete and hear the roar of a plane’s engine. I remember seeing Connor’s fist meet a man with sunglasses only to be returned by a sharp needle from another man. Then with the turn of my head I glimpsed Arella being drug into the plane reaching for my nonexistent response. I heard a man’s voice, “give her eight milligrams,” and the seen blurred over yet again into a bright, pale nothing.
