Yukio marched up the stairs to Kitsu's room. Each step he took left a thud echoeing through the hallway. He just didn't understand how his brother could be so irrisponcable. So idiotic. So selfish! How could he do that, say he'd marry one girl, but keep the other living in the house. Did he honestly think this new girl would agree? Did he seriously believe Tsuki was just saying it's okay because she meant it? Ha! It was obvious she only said yes because she'd miss Kitsu! But did he realize that? Of coarse not!
Oh no, because his brother thought that his plan was flawless. That everything he did just had to be right. He didn't take enough time to figure out, oh, maybe that'll maybe make Tsuki sad. Or, maybe my new wife won't like that. Or, my brothers gonna kick my a** once everyone in the house is gone.
Kitsu's door flew open.
"Kitsu!"
"Yeah?" He was lazying off on his bed. "What's up?"
"Don't you, 'what's up' me! You know what's up!" Oh, the kid was in for it.
Kitsu stared at his brother. He seemed as if a vein had popped. "You alright?" He asked casually.
Yukio glared. "No, Kitsu. I am not alright. What were you thinking?! Suggesting such a hopeless plan! It's- It's- oh it's so dumb I can't even think of what to call it!"
"It's not hopeless, it's wonderfull. If I marry the girl, I still get to keep Tsuki." Kitsu said as he rolled his eyes.
"But how do you think Tsuki feels about it?"
"I don't need to think, she already said she was fine with it."
Yukio pinched the bridge of his knose. "Kitsu, being okay with something and saying your okay with something is two different things."
Kitsu looked skeptically at his brother. "What does that mean?" Kitsu honestly thought Tsuki was okay with it. Sure, he had his doubts by the way she looked, but when she was packing up her things to go on the sleepover back at her house with kita and Kiyoko, she told Kitsu that in her mind, it was a brilliant plan. Kitsu explained this to Yukio, but he brushed it off.
"She didn't want you to feel bad." Yukio explained. "Kitsu, this plan, marrying one girl but keeping the other. It's not logicle. That's either called cheating, or your a bigimist."
"Bigimist...?"
"It means marrying multiple people."
"Oh. But I'm not marrying Tsuki-chan. I was just gonna have her live in our house so we can still hang out all of the time."
"Kitsu." Yukio sighed. "Do you really think she wants that? Do you honestly believe, that Tsuki, the most social person in the leaf village, wants to be kept in a house with you and your wife?"
Kitsu pouted like a child. "She could marry someone if she wants."
"You promised to marry her." Yukio warned
"B-But... But Tsuki-chan understands and-and... God Yukio why'd I have to be born gorgious?!" He whined, falling back on his bed.
Yukio couldn't help but smile and shrug. "It's the curse of the Aristole men, I guess. Were just irrisistable to woman." Both boys ran their fingers through their long silver hair.
After a few minutes, Kitsu asked, "What do I do?"
Yukio put his arm around his younger brothers shoulder. "I think... maybe... like you said, go on a few dates with that girl. If you end up liking her, you should marry her and save our villages... if you don't, then stick with Tsuki-chan We'll figure something out.
"Are you sure that'll work?"
"Of coarse."
Kitsu smiled at his brother, sometimes, this guy is pretty smart.
Yukio got up. "So... that's all really."
"Wait, I have one more question."
"Yeah?"
"Does Tsuki-chan strike you as a... suicidle type?"
Yukio stared. Tsuki? Suicidle? She was the, usually, most happy person he knew. "No, Kitsu. Tsuki doesn't seem like that. Why?"
The young Aristole shrugged. "I was just wondering." He laid back down. "Night, Yukio."
Yukio stood in the doorway, watching Kitsu close his eyes. "Night, Kitsu." He whispered as he turned off the light and left. They didn't get to fight like Yukio expected, but, this way was a lot better in his mind. It was probably more effective also. All and all, it seemed like Kitsu had finally saw the error of his thoughts.
Now all Yukio hoped was that Kitsu would make the right decision.
