Guide Me, Wepwawet
Oh, Wepwawet, guide my paws
As I trod down this path so bare
Stand near me, support my weary back
Help me not to feel those negative stares
I want to stand firm and strong
As I walk between the worlds
Guide me both gentle and knowledgeably
While these emotions around me whirl
This land can feel so lonesome
While the sky above seems so empty
I need to find the truths that must be found
And I turn to you, my Father, to guide me
Oh, Wepwawet, both great of strength and knowing
Protect me where ever I may go
Guide these paws that are so raw and cold
Provide me with a knife and a proud bow
Allow me your skill when you see fit
Be with me when I hunt prey or wisdom
Help me to hold my head high and strong
When you speak, I shall listen
Oh, Wepwawet, I can feel your love
In the way you teach me your ways
I know I’m stubborn and question everything
But your faith in me never strays
Thank you, Father, for all you give me
Please continue to assist this young one
I’m proud that you chose me to be among
Your other wise daughters and sons.
