Deneb's early musings
A short journal about my first several days in Gaia.
Second day started out pretty good. I played a variety of games, trying to figure out the "reward" of each. I figured it broke down to 3 sections. I'm guessing playing these games was the equivalent of a "job" here in Gaia, lol.

First system rewards were given in gold. This was great, since being a new person, I'm in dire need of gold to spend. Second system, rewards were in the form of tickets/tokens. These, I suppose, were useful if I desired the items to exchange for and the special vendor. At this time, there was nothing that interested me, and most likely will not be playing these games again. Lastly, items to exchange on the market. Fishing, was the only one I played that had this reward system. It bothered me mildy that the system wasn't clearly defined as to what the objective of Fishing was. I had to venture into the forums to find details, even there information focused on attempting to catch the ultra-rare fishes. It wasn't until I tried to sell my fish on the marketplace, that it made sense. If my fish sell, then I get gold--simple, but gets me to buy more stuff later smile

I perused some more of the forums for various topics ranging from fashion, games, and role playing. Some of the RP threads were interesting, and I like the idea. It would certainly give me some thing to enjoy with other people, and possibly make some friends here too. I'm not trying to put down the chat system used in towns/worlds or in games, but the effect isn't the same in a crowded room versus a slow post-by-post system. Anywho, once I'm done catching up on where some of the RP threads are, I'll ask to join in on the action.

Onto day 3!
