Yes, yes, first post of the year.As I wrote earlier, not much time for story bits, but sequences instead.This is from a project for Storyboarding class.To sum it up quickly, since we just got the details of what kind of action they wanted, it's about a ship inside a cave filled with squid-spider things(Not the most perilous part), and geysers that shoot up boiling water hot enough to melt your skin off.The characters have to avoid all these dangers to reach the next part of the cave, which is divided into parts.Now, a description of what I came up with.

1.We see a gate with a calm river flowing before it and various stalagmites and stalactites(if I wrote it correctly) surrounding the area.There is no movement other than the swish of the water.

2.Same as before, but now the gates are opening, revealing a ship coming through.

3.There's a siloutte(we're not in charge of character design, just the action) staring at the area before him.To his left, we see one side of the cave.

4.A little farther away, we see the ship with the captain in front and some sailors observing their surroundings.One has his hands on the steering mast.A geyser from afar is shooting water into the air.

5.One sailor puts his head out of the ship to look at what's in the water, a small geyser being what he sees.

6.Suddenly, as another sailor walks to tell him to get back to work, the geysers shoots water into the disobedient sailor's face, killing him instantly.The other sailor watches in shock as it happens.

7.The captain looks back as he sees the sailor fall dead into the other's arms, the geyser still shooting water.

8.Just as the small one keeps shooting, other geysers follow it, making the way dangerous.

9.The captain looks on, weery of what is to come.The sailors stay where they are, unsure of what to do.

10.The captains raises his right arm up, signaling the sailor closest to him to tell the first mate to speed up and avoid the geysers to prevent any more deaths.

11.The sailor runs to the first mate and tells him to follow the captain's orders.

12-15+.The rest is pretty much them avoiding the geysers at high speeds and trying to prevent attacks from the squid-spiders.Don't worry, mostly everyone makes it through safely.Okay, so there WERE a few deaths involved, but it can't be very actiony without people dying, right?
