A daughter of the Wind
::A Daughter of the Wind::

She stood proud on the rocks, her latest meal devowered at her paws, leaving them and her normally blue/white muzzle stained with a bloody hue. GreenBlue eye's gazed out at the ocean from her pearch, she had dragged the pig all the way to the top where she could see all around her, it was the first meal she had eaten in a week. Eva had grown up a lone wolf's pup, no clue to her father's legacy, and only bare hints of her mothers reflected on her frame. Mostly in her body's build, sleek like most ocean wolves were, almost dainty, but far from weak. If that wasn't proven enough by the fully grown boar almost fully devouerd at her paws. The only other part of her mother she carried were the eye's, classic for her mothers line of wolves whom had origonally been a wondering pack that lived along the shore lines.

Her fur color, in all it's white and icy blue glory, and the oddly beautiful markings she had along her frame were solidly from her father, whom she had never met, nor seen. Never even got a name out of her mother before the Dragga left her to her own life. True to Lone wolves as she was, Her mother probably wouldn't have left her as young as she was had it not been for her exceptionally good skill at hunting, and with the dominance she carried about herself. Unlike majority of lones, who respected their places in wolf hiachery, Eva had always been proud. Never lowered her tail, ever. Nor did she ever submit, or lose a fight, which dispite her only being about three years old she had been in two with other roaving lones, one was female, the other a male whom wanted to bring her into motherhood far sooner then she was ready for, she beat them both. Now she stood strong, proud as the sun began it's decent, almost sizzling out of the atmosphier as it slipped into the ocean.

The story was, that every morning it was born anew, and every night was extinguished in the ocean. The salt breeze brought her many scents as it darted which ever way it chose, just like her herritage had been. Wolves whom all moved randomly, did as they chose without much sense, yet perfectly in ballance with the earth around them. Her very being was wind, it had always been her friend in her mind. And even now it brought her the warning scent of a nearing wolf. Who would dar to approach such a dominant female was surly stupid, or very brave, she thought as she lifted her lips, baring her fangs fiercly over her kill, ears back and tail as high up as it would go.
One brown eye, one blue. She couldn't remove her eye's to his challenge, though he didn't appear ready to attack her, mearly cautious. His tail remained up and his eye's locked onto hers as he cocked his head lightly to the side. "Well... your quite the unusual to my territory..." She growled deep, her vocals still somehow sounding beautifully feminan. "Your territory? So your the one I've been sniffing all day then..." She said lightly, ready to fight, it was rare a male spoke much to her, other then trying to steal her food or her virtue. This one seemed to want neather As he simply blinked at her, refusing to back down to her challange, sense she apparently was the one out of bounds. "Well yes actually... I'm the local pack alpha... who would you be?"

That caught her off guard, she hadn't known the local Alpha's had changed, she clearly remembered Lorieann and Iago, though she had been young when she had been introduced. The pack had always been an odd one, never minding lones passing through much, and always offering shelter. "What happened to the last Alphas?" She asked with caution, if he was the alpha now, he must be a fierce fighter. Just from his build alone she could tell hints of Mountain wolf, having met a few of those on her travels as well. The question seemed to have an emotional effect on the strong looking male as he lowered his ears, the only thing he lowered. "They were killed about two years ago... I'm their youngest son." She gave him a stiff look, sniffing his words for the truth that they tasted of before letting her mind replay what she remembered of so long ago.

She had played with two young pups back then, being very young herself her mom had saught shelter for them both. "Eva..." She finally said, her voice heavy with memory as her eye's danced over this strong, large obvious Alpha and remembered the small pup he had been. "You've grown..." She added as her posture lessened some, the second she lowered her eye's, releasing him from her challenge he began wagging his tail, they both continued to hold theirs high, status was everything afterall. "I think I remember you... not well though, you didn't stick around long enough..." He said gently, very aware of her caution she still held. "Where's your mother? I do remember her, she nipped my nose when I played to rough with you..." Eva let a slight giggle leave her at that. "I remember that..." She let a sigh leave her chest as she turned her gaze out to the ocean. "She left me shortly before my second year... Lone wolves tend to be that way..." He surprisingly let out a soft chuckle. "Ah yes, they do have a tendency towards dumping any burdens they have after a certain amount of time." She could have taken offence to that, but the way he said it was almost defensive for her, as if the thought of abandoning a pup bothered him, though he understood the way lone wolves worked.

"We have a pup currently, her name's Istas... A Half-pack lone left her to us, didn't want to which is surprising. But knew that having a pack was better for such a young one...at least you were left at a time when you knew how to hunt..." He added helpfully. She nodded, letting a breeze calm her as it flitted through her fur. "It doesn't stop the hurt though, I don't think I'll ever see her again... she seems to be good at masking her scent enough where I can never track it..." Wall-e felt sympathy for this beautiful huntress, had she been pack he would of licked her pains away, along with the blood stains on her fur. "Would you like shelter? Daugher of the wind? You don't cross me as a loner type... your too dominant." She blinked a few times, pondering this idea, it would be nice to have a pack she figured it was worth a shot. "If you'll have me I suppose. Though it will take me time to adjust..." He gave her a wolfish grin before approaching her slowly, she froze and he did too. "If you wish to be pack... I do need to give you my scent... I promise I won't be disrespectful." He waited after that, being true to his word as she thought about it, finally crossing the distance herself til they were nose to nose. He smiled before licking her muzzle once, then following with an affectionet nuzzle, one a good friend would give to another.

It felt wierd, but she relaxed as her scent also joined his, and then followed him off the rocks, back to the den where she was introduced to the rest of the pack...
