I did this last year and I'm doing it again! Only this time, two things are different; I've started my own team called 'Pursuit of Happiness' and I'm starting to raise funds much earlier. The walk will be held on April 10th in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
If you would like to donate, please do so! Even $1 helps. This money is going towards a camp for children with cancer (and their families). I've attended the camp when I was a kid for years and the place is really wonderful. To see bald cancer patients running around enjoying life like real kids should is wonderful.
The walk allows funds to either go to the camp (which I suggest) or the Ronald McDonald House, which houses the families of cancer patients while their children are in the hospital. This is especially helpful to families out of town or state who come to specialized children's hospitals to get the best treatments for their children; the last thing they need to worry about is paying for a hotel.
