Character name: Rai Kaze

Appearance: Dark tan complexion, short dirty blonde hair, redish-orange eyes with pupils like a cat's. The pupils become slits when he's angry or in bright light, but he wears a straw hat to help with the light and hide them a bit so as not to scare people. He also wears a red yukata, feet & hand wraps, and straw sandals. The red scarf he wears is very durable, and he can use it in fighting. Rai is 21 years old.
Bio:---His biological father, from whom he gets his demon half, is different from the man who raised him. The short story involves a mild-tempered demon, his mother, and the two having a night of heavy drinking at a party one night. His demon father dissappeared shortly after that, and his family, not wanting the disgrace the scandal would bring, paid good money to have it hushed it up.
---Rai's from a prestigous samurai family, and has trained in the art of the sword since birth. His combat skills were thought to be highly exceptional by many since a young age. Though there was some worry about his half-demon heritage, he rose through the ranks quickly, his dedication to improving his skills pushing away the doubts. Then at the age of 15, suddenly and without any apparent reason, he packed up and left it all behind him.
---Since then he's wandered the land, working as a bounty hunter and doing odd jobs to keep himself fed, all the while honing his techniques. Being a "free spirit" (drifter) makes some look down upon him, though a few admire his simplistic way of life. Somewhere along the way he picked up the powerful katana Cloudbreak, which has actually been stolen from him on several occasions. Yet somehow, it keeps coming back to him, like a wandering cloud returing home...
---He's a very open person. About the only thing Rai tries to keep under wraps is the minor 'weather control' ablities he has with his sword. He knows the power of his sword is not enough to stop the trouble with the weather, and would only be a tempory solution at best. So he keeps it under wraps, to prevent giving people a false sense of hope.
Personality: Whismical, fun loving, easy-going, carfree, friendly, open; all around a nice guy, though he seems a little 'too' friendly with females at times; full of wanderlust/likes to wander freely

Weapons:
=Cloudbreak; a katana of normal length with a metal sheathe. It was named Cloudbreak for it's ability to control the elements of water, wind, lightning, and to an extent the weather itself.
=Crimson; the scarf he wears. It's soft and silky to the touch, but it's strong enough to block a sword in a fight.
=His body, as far as hand-to-hand fighting is concerned.
