A Touch of History
This will mostly contain history stuff.
* I missed Nationals what with all the uproar.

* O.o http://flavorwire.com/142184/valentines-day-gift-guide/14

* biomekanic spots something interesting: http://www.ted.com/talks/aditi_shankardass_a_second_opinion_on_learning_disorders.html

* Oh man, Avenue Q is playing in Vancouver. I've always wanted to see it. I know, I know, I don't have a valid passport even if I did have money or a car.

* Rm has a whole mess of complex things to say about a book with a lot of problematic assumptions and methodology regarding sex, gender, and sexuality: http://lettersfromtitan.com/2011/02/05/true-but-not-for-you/#comments

* Why am I craving cucumbers, or more specifically Tzatziki?

* "Cabin crew reveal most unusual customer requests:" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/8293979/Cabin-crew-reveal-most-unusual-customer-requests.html

* No matter how many times I hear it, the Glen Beck left wing/Marxist/radical Islamicist conspiracy theory mash up breaks my brain. I simply can't make any sence of it at all. Marxists are atheist. Why would they be in favour of shariah law? How do either of things equate with me wanting wall street reform? These are not the same things. shariah law is rather the opposite of progressive values.
