The Renaissance Fair -.-"
So, I just got back from the Renaissance Fair...

There's actually a story behind why we even went in the first place. My uncle owns a business that is used for throwing parties. The Renaissance Fair came to the business and asked them to design a tent for weddings of all things...
So from this I came to knowing that people actually get married in the dusty a** dump! DAMN! That's ROUGH!
The Renaissance people gave my uncle about 7 tickets, so when my brother asked my dad for something to do this weekend and brought up that my uncle had tickets, my dad asked me to call my uncle and pretty much verify that this was true.
Which it was. So, to sum this up, we ended up going. My dad got along great with everyone, which was surprising and terrific! I was so happy about that.
Just saying, if you haven't been to the Renaissance Fair in a while or just not at all, it's DIRTY AS HELL! There's dust flying EVERYWHERE! If you go, be prepared to get DIRTY! I got two NEW pairs of shoes today and wore the sneakers to the Fair... They're brown (knock-off) Converse shoes. The white part on the toes and the lining on the sides turned just as brown as the rest of the shoes!!!! I was so upset... But my dad's girlfriend offered to clean them for me, so I'm anxious to see how they come out.
Besides the dirtiness, there are freaks everywhere dressed up in costume, either acting, being drunk, dancing, or checking everyone out! HAH!
There was actually a dude at the front door acting drunk and literally falling over, down onto the dirty ground. (Mind you, it's all dirt. No pavement.)
Along with the entrance passes we got, there were passes to this special luncheon. We were there FOREVER because it was like a (theater/acting play)/lunch. The luncheon was held in this big tent and there were bars all around that seemed to be strategically placed as windows. The entrance door was chained, I think...
After we ate, we went pee (FINALLY)! The "bathrooms" were nasty a** porta-potties (UGH!!) gonk
My shoes were super dirty by then and I went to those weird a** sinks to wash em off...
Well, not thinking about pervs, I put my leg up on the sink and got a paper towel to start wiping my shoes off. This dude comes outta the porta-potty and is like smiling at me. I'm thinking he's just being nice but he was sorta getting kinda creepy after a while. He was at the sink opposite from me and seemed to be looking at my leg(s) but I really was trying to not look at him (LOL). I was talking to my dad's girlfriend about how dirty my shoes have gotten and the dude was leaning over to my side of the sink to look! LOL. Ah damn... Bozoes.... Well luckily it hadn't taken too long to clean my shoes somewhat so we left ASAP!
~We left the bathroom and walked straight ahead to almost the end of the entire Fair. There's this obstacle course kind of thing that was high up on a platform. It's all ropes and is probably super complicated. It's sort of like a maze, and they strap you up as if you're going to rock climb, but you're actually going through the maze/obstacle course. At the end you get to zip down on the line and they catch you at the end of the line. (Now I'm kinda regretting not doing it. I think I would've if not for this next thing I'm going to tell you..)
So the guy at the beginning of the course was completely HITTING ON ME! Flirting and all! lmao. He's speaking in his fake little accent that supposedly fits that time era or whatever and goes, "Come try it!" and described my outfit ("You in the blue with the hat!" wink And kept asking me to go and try the stupid course. I yelled back "I'm good!" and he says, "No you're not--" something something something...
I continued to shake my head no and he says, "Well why don't you come talk to me then?"
( I wanted to yell back so badly: --> ) "Hey BOZO! I'm only FIFTEEN!" LOL!
From there we went to watch the Jousting! We had to sit on stacks of hay. I was wearing short shorts (which was most likely a big mistake considering everything that'd happened earlier *ehem..*), and was itching like crazy. I tried sitting different ways but everything was so uncomfortable. Plus, the hay was on a slanted ground so I was like falling forward ahaha. The horses were BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to ride sad . But we obviously weren't allowed. Just gotta wait till this summer so I can go to Lidia's house and ride biggrin
But anyways! After that we went back near the flirting guy to this little shop with all the bustiers and wench outfits. (My god the costumes were GORGEOUS!... Next time baby, next time. wink )
So all in all.. I had a pretty fun time. I'm just not sure if I'd like to go again lol. I probably will and just "tough it out" razz
