Remember

I'm writing a story... just out of the blue. I have another I'd rather publish, but I've lost my digital copy. So this one I will post here. For now it's called Remember. feedback would be greatfully accepted.

Remember when… but that was a long time ago. You don’t have to remember me if you don’t want to. Just know I always loved you. These were her last words as she slipped into unconsciousness. He held her in his arms, covered with her blood. She had whispered the words to his heart, but his mind could not, would not remember her. He wanted to remember, and not just because she was beautiful. She was a delicate flower, alone in the world and needing protection. He decided he would stay with her, at least until she woke up. In that time he would try hard to remember her.
