Spooks's Sorrow

My fur is black
and my heart is cold,
I'm sitting in the snow
and I think of what I'm told.

They tell me what I've done
and the pain starts again,
But I won't listen
and I cry till the end.

I cry till my eyes
start to turn red,
and I start to tire
but my dreams are
full of dread.

As I'm sitting in the night
I start to think
What if their right?

What did I do?
and why am I hiding?
I don't know what I did
or why I'm still fighting.

My name is Spooks
and don't know my past,
and though I have my friends
I still feel like an outcast.
