Darkness has become my dearest friends
As I’m slowly drawn further from the light
This is something that only I could create
this scourge, this virus, this infectious disease
I discovered what was growing in me
rapidly growing like a nurtured seed
I was certain that I could take control
but it quickly took control of me
In no time it overtook my soul
spreading like an airborne plague
attacking anyone I was close to
it was even going after me
I burned their names into my flesh
to be sure that I could never forget
I used their end as my own beginning
never did I realize what I had done wrong
No one was able to seek refuge from
this darkness I had grown to love
I brought more death into this world
and I let it reign down from above
