Title: Heroes of Gaming
Opening:One day three friends were playing video games. All of a sudden the lights went out. In the darkness they heard an evil yet familiar laugh. More of a cackel really. "I've taken your video games in an evil attempt to conquer the universe," he cackled. " And i've imprisoned your favorite characters as well." The look of horror spread across the faces of the three friends. Except....it was dark so no one could see their expressions. " And that squishy and his bucket of bolts friend of his aren't here to stop me this time for they are imprisoned as well." Then the lights come back on. "That was weird," the friends said. "Yeah, well let's get back to playing Super Mario," they agreed. They were all pretending that what happened never happened at all. They all picked up their controllers and were instantly zapped into the video game realm. And it looked mighty familiar.
Level 1: Mushroom Kingdom
Beginning of level 1:They took only seconds to realize this was no game and they were really here. And with their own powers and weapons. They also agreed that they would save Mario and the mushroom kingdom at all costs.
End of Level 1: “Thank you for-a-saving me,” said Mario. “Now I can protect the Mushroom Kingdom again from evil. I have no idea who did this, but he wouldn’t stop talking about a squishy and a bucket of bolts.” Mario indeed looked puzzled. “Anyway, I hear a friend of mine in the desert needs your help. He seems to be captured like I was. Head through that magic door over there. That’s the door the villain used to switch between video game worlds.” The trio went through the door.
Level 2: Sands of Time
Beginning of Level 2: This place looked familiar as well and the friends figured they should get used to that feeling. They also realized they were thirsty, but they figured that would have to wait. They need to save The Prince of Persia.
End of level 2: “Thanks for saving me,” said The Prince. “Me and my kingdom will always welcome you here.” “Right before I was captured I received word from my Royal Guards that my friend from the Mountains was captured please save him so he can protect his home town of Nibelheim along with the rest of his planet.” The three friends traveled to another video game realm.
Level 3: The Mountains
Beginning of level 3: A quick look around and they knew where to go. To the top of the mountain to save Cloud Strife.
End of level 3: “Thanks guys. Now I can go back to my duties to protecting the planet.” Cloud looked on with apologetic eyes. “ Can you guys help out my friend. He’s locked up at a mansion in Racoon City. That door should take you there.” Through the door they went.
Level 4: The Mansion
Beginning of level 4: The smell of curdling blood was thick in the air, but they couldn’t let that stop
them. They must save Barry Burton.
End of level 4: “I’m glad you came,” said Barry. “The excellent marksman that I am, I just couldn’t fend off the evilness of our enemy. I have some info on the last two characters that were captured. They were last seen on a spaceship. Hurry through the door and rescue them. They may know who’s behind all of this.” Feeling their adventure within grasp of its closure they leapt into space through the door.
Level 5: The spaceship
Beginning of level 5: Although the area looked familiar, they had no clue as to the identities of their targets. But they could trust the word of Barry Burton so on they went.
End of level 5: So it was the dynamic duo Ratchet and Clank that were their targets. “No time for chatting now,” Ratchet exclaimed. “ We must stop him from pulling the plug!” The friends looked at each other in puzzlement. “What plug,” they asked in unison. “You mean you don’t know,” Clank questioned.
The hero’s shook their heads. “The Plug of Imagination”, said Ratchet and Clank. “Without the Plug of Imagination ,” they continued, “the video game world does not exist. It is located somewhere in the depths of space somewhere on a planet dubbed The Planet of Hopes and Dreams. No one truly knows where it is but the Dr. has plans that he picked up who knows where and it details its exact location,” they finished. “Dr. who exactly,” Spoke the saviors. Just then an evil voice boomed. “Dr. Nefarious!”
Super Boss: Dr. Nefarious.
Beginning super boss: The hero’s braced themselves for an epic battle.
Ending: With all of the characters saved and the evil Dr. Nefarious defeated there was nothing left to do but…..Then the lights came back on. "That was weird," the friends said. "Yeah, well let's get back to playing Super Mario," they agreed. This time nothing happened. Their memories may have been erased, but they will forever be known in the video game realm as The Heroes of Gaming.
