Amory nodded calmly and sighed. "I honestly don't expect you to trust me so soon, if ever. I don't trust people all that much either, so, it's fine." He didn't understand why he was being nice to someone who was usually rude to him, but he didn't care about it enough to think about it. There wasn't any reason, in his opinion, that he should be rude to the other in return. So far, doing that just seemed to make matters worse between them. "I can understand why you don't trust people. You've let a few facts of your past spill out in our arguments, so I manged to put a couple of pieces together. Jumping between families so often would be torture on almost anyone. Especially if they believe the family loves them and there's no plausible reason for the family to want to abandon them that wouldn't mean they thought someone was wrong with them. That's just my uneducated assumption, of course."

Moving away from Gaki, Amory made his way back to his bed and started to make it, humming softly to himself. He'd almost forgotten to do so during his little fight with Gaki, if you could even call it that. Fixing his pillows, he turned to the other with a slight smile, even though the other could not see it. "By the way, if you ever need any help with anything, you can always ask. No, it's not me pitying you. Honestly, I'd rather be helpful than fight with you every other day. I really don't see the point in us fighting all the time. We're going to have to deal with being roommates. I'll be honest; I could have gotten stuck with a much worse roommate." Different images of different roommates much worse than Gaki ran through his mind, causing him to laugh to himself. "I know that you can't take my word, but, even if it is in vain, I assure you everything I I said today is true."

Amory nodded slightly and moved to pack his bookbag. It didn't matter if he wasn't going to class or not, he always had the bag with him. He grabbed all of the books he used for homework, the novel hje was working on reading, and his scrapbook and framed photo of Till. He wrapped it up in fabric to keep it from breaking and hid it away in his bag. It wasn't that he didn't trust Gaki around his precious things, but witht he rate the nightmares had been coming, he thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to carry them around.

Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he stood up off of his bed and smiled toward the other. "I should really get going soon. Club Day and all that. I may not like talking to people, but I have to do it sometimes. Hopefully we aren't trying to bite each other's heads off later." He waved toward the other and smiled, heading to the bathroom before he decided to leave. Grabbing his hairbrush, he rebrushed his hair, sighing softly. He didn't understand why Gaki seemed to hate him, but he tried to ignore it. It's not like it hurt him, right? It was just the fact that he got angry whenever he offered to help him with anything that made him angry and sad. Yes, that's it!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory sat quietly in the lunch room, trying to work on some of his homework he didn't finish the night before. He'd been sick for the past few days and could hardly think, but he didn't want to miss classes because of it. The fact that he was starting to get homesick didn't help at all. He'd never stayed away from home for more than a day, let alone as long as he had now.

Though, he guessed a few good things did happen over the past weeks. He and Gaki weren't fighting nearly as much, much to his delight. He didn't think he could handle it being as drowsy and sore as he was. He'd also found a photo album he'd packed into his bags finally, full of photos of him and his dad. It at least made him feel a little better about being away from home for so long. There were still moments when he contemplated going back home, though.

With a weak sigh, he pushed his books away from him, tucked all the papers inside before closing them and concentrating more on eating. He was just glad he'd gotten his homework finished. Nibbling on a piece of toast and trying not to make himself sicker by eating too fast, he stared off into space, thinking about his dad. He hoped he was alright, not wanting to find out something horrible happened to him while he was gone. Though, when he thought about his father, he at least wasn't thinking about Till too much.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory looked up quickly when he was tapped on the shoulder and was greeted by someone who he'd never met before. Though, he did try to avoid almost everyone, so it wasn't too surprising. Swallowing his food, he said, "No one's sitting here. I'm Amory." He sounded a little groggy and sighed, picking up his bottle of water. "Nice to meet you, Ryuuji. I haven't saw you around here before. Though, I'm completely oblivious to my surroundings most of the time." He moved his books toward himself and away from the free seat so he wouldn't be crowded by them. As he sat, he just waited for him to ask about his skin. Even if most of the people here were less than normal, some people still found it odd. Honestly, he didn't blame them. He was just happy he wasn't getting beat up over it. Not knowing whether to make conversation with the other or not, he tried to finish his food.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory chuckled at the other and smiled. "Well, Ryuuji is an interesting name too." He didn't know why he was suddenly in a good mood. Just moments before he was annoyed and felt horrible. Maybe, despite how he loathed thinking about it, he actually liked talking to people. When the other teen licked his cheek, he stared at him in shock before laughing, wiping his face off. "Well, you're curiosity is expected," he said between chuckles, "but this has to be the first time anyone has ever licked me. To be honest, even I don't know why I'm green. I just suspect I get it from my mother, but who knows?" Though he loathed his skin colour, he always wondered why he was the colour he was and if he got it from his mother. He couldn't help it; he just needed to know why. "My father looks normal, so either I got it from her or it's some mutation. Either way, I'm still green."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory laughed softly and shook his head, confused by the other's behaviour but not minding in the least. Ryuuji was, somehow, making him feel better. "Well, I'm not sure about that. Though, I am an earth elemental, if that's close enough to a super hero. I actually know why I am, though. That came from my father. I wouldn't consider that being a mutant or a super hero, though. Honestly? I suspect I'm some type of elf. These ears give that away, you know?"He scooted his seat back some and looked down the other in the eyes with a soft smile. "So, what about you? I'm honestly not sure what the majority of the people here are. I don't care enough to ask most of the time. What year are you in?" Honestly, he was surprised he hadn't knocked the other's hands away. He usually didn't like people touching him due to how many people had caused him physical damage over the years. This guy seemed nice, though. It was a shocking possibility, to him at least, that he might get a friend. Though, the other could have just been bored, but he didn't mind.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory looked toward the other and smiled slightly. His eyes were slightly wide in surprise when the other male made the piece of chalk appear and reappear. "A wizard, huh? That's interesting. Honestly, the first time I ever met people who weren't completely 'normal' was here, so anything is surprising to me." Amory sighed softly when the other mentioned what year he was in. It seemed as though everyone he talked to was older than him. "I'm a sophomore, though, so you won't be seeing me in any of your classes." He stared in shock when the other asked if he wanted to see him again. No one had ever asked him that, so it was a first for him. "Well, you haven't tried to beat the living hell out of me or mention anything about flying monkeys and brooms, so you can't be too bad. Joking aside, I definitely wouldn't mind talking to you again. Honestly, that's the first time anyone has ever asked me that. Usually people don't want to see me again." Smiling at the other, he quickly turned to finishing the last bit of his food.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory was walking around the school grounds while he ate lunch, not wanting to spend more time in the dining room. Sometimes he just felt claustrophobic when he stayed inside too long. Classes were starting to get boring, especially since he really didn't have anything to do or anyone to talk to when he was finished with his assignments. It was almost like he didn't exist. It was a major change from being teased mercilessly, but being ignored wasn't much better. "At least no one is punching me in the face." he sighed, taking a bite out of his sandwich. He was getting really tired of walking around, so he tried to find somewhere to sit and relax a little while before class.

As he was walking around, he took notice of a familiar neko lounging underneath the shade of a tree, eating fish. When he smiled a bit, he shook his head to himself and made his way over to Gaki's general direction. "Hello." he said, trying not to startle the other. Not knowing if the other wanted company or not, he found another tree nearby and got comfortable. He pulled the rest of his lunch out of a paper bag and sighed softly. "I see you came out here to eat as well. I just couldn't stand being in that stuffy building myself."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory groaned softly when he saw Gaki provoke the ice... person that he really didn't know anything about. He thought his name was Draig, or something of the sorts, but he wasn't sure. Shivering slightly from how cold it was, he got up and moved to the other side of the tree. "This could get real bad, real fast." he murmured, looking around the other side of the tree. "Why does he think this is a good idea?" Despite how much he loathed it, he was worried that Gaki was going to get himself hurt. The only thing he knew was that he most certainly was not going to interfere any time soon. A fire elemental was bad, but an ice one just made thing worse. He assumed that his aversion to ice had to do with being an earth elemental, though. He didn't have any traumatizing experiences with it, after all. He knew that if he really wanted to, he could cause a little damage to them, but most likely not enough to stop them. They'd just come after him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Draig started screaming at Gaki, with good reason in Amory's opinion, he hid behind the tree more, even though he knew it probably wouldn't help if one of Gaki's fireballs went his way. He didn't understand what force possessed Gaki to attack the other elemental when he was angry. "Great job, Amory. You've possibly gotten yourself in the crossfires of a fire elemental and an ice one. Could your luck be any worse?" When he say Draig take notice of him, his eyes widened and he pulled his head back more, only taking occasional peeks to see what was going on.

The boy was scared, annoyed, and cold. Those were not a good combination for him, so when the tree he was hidden behind started sprouting extra branches closer to him, he wasn't surprised. He tended to lose control of his powers when he was scared, but, so far, they had only tried to defend. He guessed, if he got extremely angry, the opposite would happen. Turning around, he tried to concentrate on actually using the tree to protect himself in case things went bad. He didn't know how far things would go, but with Gaki teasing someone who was already upset, he knew they could go horribly. He would build a fortress out of trees, branches, and plants if he had to. For now, he just settled with the branches that grew on their own and a few larger ones he made grow himself. There were vines growing around the tree and it's branches as well, making some sort of webbing. He hadn't meant for that to happen, but at least they could protect him from smaller fireballs long enough for him to run away. He pulled his bag, which had all of his things now packed inside, close to his chest and prepared to flee if things got to horrible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory's eyes narrowed when Gaki called him dull. Well, that's at least how he took it. He had no idea why, but Gaki saying that upset him a bit. Sure, the neko had said much worse things about him and to him, even the exact thing he'd mentioned just then, but it wasn't until lately that they started to sting a bit. He wasn't going to tell Gaki that, though. That would just make him tease him more. The fact that Gaki still teased him, maybe a little less than before, even though he was trying to be nice to him and not fight with him grated on his nerves. He really just wished the two of them could be in the same room without one making snide remarks at the other.

When he heard the deal Gaki was making with Draig, he felt like hitting his head on the tree behind him. Repeatedly. He didn't know what possessed Gaki to do the things that he did, and it honestly annoyed him and worried him to no end. Another thing that he'd never admit to the neko's face. He didn't want to lose another friend to a stupid accident.

"Friend? He's not my friend. He's just someone I happen to share a room with that worries me far too much."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amory just nodded at Draig and sat the bag with his own in his lap. He didn't know what Draig had meant with what he said, but he knew he wouldn't let anything happen to his bag. If something happened to his things, he'd throw a fit. Though, his consequences weren't being put down. He also wouldn't look inside. After all, he respected the other's privacy.

He couldn't help but be a little... honestly? Fearful of what might happen. He didn't want either of them ending up seriously injured, even if he really didn't know Draig and he and Gaki didn't get along all that well. He didn't know whether to watch or hide completely behind the tree and try to block everything out. He decided, for now, to just hide and protect both he and Draig's bags. His vines were still webbed around the tree branches, though he wasn't honestly sure about how strong they were. He'd never had to use them, being around mostly humans. He had to keep his emotions in check so he wouldn't, though.

As he sat there, he tried to figure out exactly what Draig was. Despite not being human himself, he didn't know much about non-humans. "That's something to concentrate on rather than the bloodbath that's about to happen. Just think about that."
