Um...
The open sea, though it seemed entirely far away at the moment, was beautiful with its quiet waves and light breeze. Angeline could think of little else that could be more beautiful than the blue hues of the water, aside from maybe a clear nights sky with all of its stars full in view. Neither the sea nor the sky called to her like it would a sailor, but she couldn’t deny the silent peace the sight of both things filled her with. They would be away a long time, a few months at the least with nothing but each other and the sea for comfort. It sounded like a daunting amount of time, but it wasn’t something the young lady couldn’t handle. Really, she felt it would be simple. Quiet (for the most part) sailing away from the men she usually entertained…all but one, of course. But Sir Ellard was new, and thus would wouldn't likely get on her nerves or bore her. Hopefully, she wouldn’t tire of him after the first week or two. Hopefully, he wouldn’t get bored with her company, either. He seemed very keen on attracting Angeline’s attention, but men’s desires tended to wander once they’ve had their fill of any single thing. Regardless, there was hope that this would be a pleasant voyage. Maybe they would see interesting things and meet interesting people. That was certainly something to look forward to, wasn’t it?

Just like that, as if he could hear her very own thoughts, the young Sir Ellard Pike appeared at her side, and with a little pink rose to brush against her cheek. Angeline’s first response was to turn and look at whoever had touched her, fearing it might be some thug, but she relaxed a little when she saw it was the young man. Her pink lips turned up in a sweet smile as she turned to face him gracefully. He gazed down upon her with the same look he carried...pretty much every day after the two of them accidentally met. Angeline couldn't entirely tell if he was simply playing games with her or he truly was always so lustful. Even for a woman as...experienced as she was, a constant hunger seemed like it would have been exhausting at the very least. Still, even under his employment, she wouldn't be so easily swept off her feet by good looks and a healthy apitite for sweet things. She wasn't some young little girl, after all. Miss Belle knew exactly how things worked. How men worked, more specifically.

After accepting the rose, Angeline brought it to her lips and put on her most charming smile, all the while taking a few steps away from Ellard. She stood no more than three paces away, looking at him over her shoulder, watching him as he stood. "And will you protect me, Sir Knight, from the pirates and cut throats?" Never mind that she hoped they would see no such thing on this voyage, regardless of the life that probably depended on it. It seemed Ellard wanted to play the hero. This whole ordeal was, after all, brought about by him wanting to rescue his most unfortunate friend. Now, she'd simply allow him to play the part. It would accomidate his desires, beguile him so to speak, and would keep her from getting bored. The dreamers were the easy ones. "And what of the sea monsters?" The words were light and jovial, not meant to tease or chide him.
