"Take your rightful place at the throne, Frozen Queen." I heard him say and I could have sworn I saw a beautiful ice blue woman standing behind him. I quickly shook my head, now was definitely not the time to be enamored with my opponent, especially if I consider that this is one the Tenma mercenaries I'm fighting right now.
"What's wrong, sire?" He called to me in a mocking tone, god how I wanted to just rush him right now and strike him down, but I can't no he's to good for it to end just like that, so instead I opt to get on his level of fighting "Throw a tantrum, Tornado Sylph." I call and the wind starts to pick up around me and then it starts to circle my sword, the runes engraved on the aluminum and steel forged blade started to glow white.
"That's what I'm talking about King, finally stop playing let's really mess this town up." Ryu called out to me before he started to laugh, while he laughed I looked around the town that was my home, it was destroyed, everything ruined beyond repair, the people off my town would have move and find a new home and bury their loved ones, rage started to boil inside me; how could this man stand in front of me and laugh like he is right now. I lost it and attacked, sending two air waves and jumped in the air towards him.
"Finally!!" Ryu said and swung his katana at the first air strike and his weapon being thrown into the air, though his grip held and he didn't loose it, he wasn't gonna be able to block the the next attack and I stupidly thought I would be able to end this quickly and catch the people that did this to my home. Oh how stupidly foolish I was, I temporarily forgot I was dealing with A Tenma, and not just any Tenma, I'm dealing with the leader of the whole organization, a thick sheet of ice formed in between Ryu and blocking the air slice causing the ice sheet to shatter upon contact with my air strike, both techniques canceling each other out.
I quickly realized I was still flying towards Ryu, who had recovered by now and swung, Frozen Queen, at me at the same time I swung, Tornado Sylph, our swords clashed and the glowing auras from our blades started to radiate in a beautiful yet deadly dance for the two of us. Though this clash did last for a minute or two, I started to be pushed back, not because I was weaker than him or anything but, because my blade was made of aluminum and not meant for these sort of standoffs, it was thanks to wind runes and magic that my blade wasn't cut in half.
Though that didn't matter seeing as Ryu broke through my guard, I closed my eyes and thought this was it and prepared my to go into the afterlife, when I didn't receive the death I opened my eyes to see Ryu Sheathing his katana "Why do you spare me?" I asked him with a glare. "I didn't come here to kill you, I came here to recruit you, King Talon." He held out his hand and smiled at me. "I assume it has something to do with those people who attacked my home." I asked and he nodded. "I'm in then if we get to kill them, and by the way it's not King Talon, it's Talon King" I shook his hand. "Good." He smiled and we started walking north, farther away from those bastards "Where are we going?" I demanded and he smiled at me and calmly spoke.
"To do some recruitment."
