Character Name: Adelaide "Shadowstep" (Addy)
Character Description: Short blackish brown hair, large eyes that tend to change color with her mood, and the index and middle fingers on her right hand are really scarred.
Character Personality: Bubbly, but also serious when the time arises. At times she can be very mature for her age. A bit of a kleptomaniac is she doesn't like you, but a very sweet person if she does. Essentially the entire world is in three categories: People she likes, People she doesn't like, and People she looks up to.
Section: Bulivardo
Character Backstory: Adelaide lives in a world on the border between dreams and reality. Her parents, young for their age, died in a car accident five years a go, leaving her and her younger sister (just a baby at the time) left in the odd world they've lived in. It's a world full of sadistic kinds of leaders and cowering peasants. She grew up so far in this terrifying nightmare, somehow being the optimist. The entire world seems like a game to her. For instance, her favorite game is stealing things and then seeing if they sink or float. To help her cope with a now fast paced way of life she memorizes completely random things (sizes of shoes, names and shades of apples) as well as organizing anything interesting she finds in different ways.
The one person she looks up to is the Lady Shadowstep, who is a young duchess who rules over the land just next to Addy's and who is one of the highest officials in the Lord Over Everything's court. She was one of the only adults that ever showed Addy kindness. So she ended up using that woman's name for her own.

Other: Adelaide got scars on her hand from once when she got caught by a sorceress, who lived near her, while stealing. The sorceress had warned her that if she was caught again, she would steal the bones right out of her fingers...luckily before the job was completed, Lady Shadowstep intervened, but it left her right index and middle fingers terribly scarred.
