* Republicans are holding up reauthorization of the FAA because they want to strip union rights. They say they will not keep the FAA going if the Democrats don't cave. I hope the Democrats show spine on this one, because I think stopping all air travel in the US even for a week will piss off rich Republican donors at their party and allowing people to keep their unions is the right thing to do. All the Democrats have to do is hold firm on this one to get an easy win for the side of right.

* I'd like to add a Gina Torres solo storm movie to my list of movies that I'd pay full evening movie theater prices to see, along with Misha Collins as Midnighter. Too bad they aren't in the works, as I'm pretty sure they'd kick a**. Why are we getting this crappy looking spider man reboot, when there are actual interesting stories we haven't seen yet on the big screen?
* Thank you, Senator Franken for calmly demolishing the pro-DOMA witness in today's repeal testimony, by pointing out he was out right lying about the content of the study he was siting. I know people thought he was a joke when he first ran for office, but he's consistantly stood up for women's rights and saftey, and for equality under the law for all Americans including LGBTQ folk.
