Sleepless Moon
I had never thought I would have seen this day.
The man of many words had no words left to say.
I reached in his lungs, pulled hot air right from him.
All this with the help of one little whim
As if the moon told the sun that it shines to bright
so it could sleep along with everyone else at night
To me it's a like a little boy tasting his first ice cream
Or a nightmarish someone having one more good dream
But to him it's as if the pray told the predator no
The scarecrow didn't scare away not one little crow
To him it was nothing but nonsense chaos
Though it was simply my attitude with a little gloss
It's not usual I dont recoil at vagary
But today I just felt one little hit of bravery
maybe it was disgust or maybe it was pride
that made him stand back, that made him hide
but hes giving me this moment to laugh in his face
because I wont have him locked forever in this brace
Like a cast, I will have to come off soon
And once again be a sleepless moon
