Yay! After about a week and a half I pulled myself to finally write a convention 'thing' on how it went. n.n heart It'll basically be a summary on what my trio did, saw, and the lovely people I met... and I'm sure you know who you are if you read this.
Thursday - Woke up around 6:00 o'clock to shower and pack the vehicle for the drive across the upper NorthWest. ( Side Note 1 - A lovely 8+ hours there and 8+ hours back. ) Well, we arrived around 4pm. We checked in and directly after my Sister and I threw on our Lolita outfits quickly. We looked surprisingly ok for being in a car a long time. xD; ( Side Note 2 - Pictures will be added when I get out of my lazy streak. ) We then tracked about a block to the convetion center to hit pre-reg. We were lost at first, but found our way to the end of the line. We were there for about 30 minutes, got our bagdes, and picked up some pizza to take back to the room.
Friday - Woke up early to shower and get dressed. Sister went Chii, My Mom with her ''Anime Mother'' tshirt on, and I went plain old Lolita. n.n Upon entering the convention center I met up with a good friend of mine. MS. MICHI! domokun My walking brainiac of all Sailor Moon information. heart We moved ourselves upstairs to the 6th floor. My Mother decided to sit at a table and read her book, so my Sister, Ms. Michi, and I went downstairs to take some pictures and study the layout of the center. After awhile Ms. Michi's staffing duties called her, so we went upstairs to line up for Opening Ceremonies.
I have to admit that standing in line for alot of the events were made short by the Nintendo Pictochat. :3 Met alot of cool people!
( Side Note 3 - The Opening Video had my Sister and I in it. surprised We were the Chii and Freya. ) After we went to the pass booth only to find they were out of Masquerade Tickets. ( Dissapointing.) As we were heading downstairs, sure enough I begin to walk by a Myaku Toshiya. n__~ Knowing instantly who it was; MS.A!!! Lovely braniac of all J-rock information and my inspiration to crossplay. heart After a picture and some formalities my trio went to check out the Dealer's Room ''line'' which circled an ENTIRE acre sized room. So, we went to get Subway. Poor Sister... first bite she takes and she gets mustard on her dress. D: After we ate, we went to the Dealer's Room and shopped around. My first item was a grab bag which included a lovely Inuyasha tshirt, a plushie I don't know the Anime of, and a cute little robot figure. Continued with shopping and even got to walk up and down a few isles with Ms. A. x3
Seeing as the J-rock panel was at 5, I decided to change into my Kyo cosplay while my Sister went into normal garb. We grabbed more pizza ( I saw Michi again <3 ), and went back to the hotel to change. Using black eyeliner as lipstick is not comfortable. x_x We went back to the convention center and waited around. I saw Ms. A ( few pictures later ), and we took off to wonder the Dealer's Room alittle, then headed to the J-rock panel. :3 I must say the people there were very cool. xD After that I departed with Ms. A and my trio stood acouple yards from pre-reg. Sure enough I hear ''Naroo?'' to my left and see my good friend Megan. After more formalities and such, I run to see my other good friend Cassie. I think she was scared of me at first. ( Kyo running full speed at you. @w@; )
After some walking around, greetings, ect, we decided to go back to the room. I went normal clothes, and Sister went back to Chii. We waited on the 6th floor. During the wait, I saw Ms. Michi, in her tuxedo mask costume, then decided to go to the J-Rock panel. It was awesome. ;3 Those girls were REALLY smart. Sure enough after it's over I see Ms. A, say hi, and went back to find my Sister and Mom waiting in line. More Pictochat. After waiting we were let into the dance. My Sister didn't want to dance, I don't really enjoy dancing by myself, and my Mother just had the eek exspression on her face the whole time, so we left.
Considering I am just now realizing how much I've typed, I'm going to try and sum up Saturday in 1 paragraph, or maybe 2. xD;
Saturday - Woke up, dressed up as Kyo, saw Ms. A, went to get in line for cosplay tickets, which extended down 2 hallways, got some real food that had nutrients in it ( milk and orange juice ), and went back to the hotel. :3 I changed to Lolita, Sister went Chii, and we walked around. I saw Megan again, headed to the heart GAIA ONLINE PANEL heart which by the way had a HUGE line up. Waited for awhile, managed to find a seat ( Sister decided to wait outside with Mother ), and I saw ''swag'' raffled off to the many people that were wall to wall. After the Panel we went back to the room and I changed back into Kyo and Sister Lolita for the meet that was going to take place. Turns out the meeting was sorta' a bust, but still got to see Ms. A, and another Myaku Toshiya. :3 ( Pictures, ect. )
After we went back to the room we changed into normal clothes and wandered around downtown Seattle. ( I didn't know there was a mall type thing next door to the hotel!??!? D: I'm a idiot. ) After that we went back to the center and got in line for the cosplay. After more Pictochat, and seeing Ms. A again we went in and watched the cosplay. The 404's weren't as impressive this year than they wear the last, but still, the skits were ok, and all in all it was fun. We went back to the hotel room, packed, and slept for the long drive home the next day.
Overall I had alot of fun. I got to see alot of my closest friends, and met some SUPER nice people. n.n There were alot of amazing costumes and I hope to have my pictures up soon. I love Sakura-Con and hope to attend next year as well. ( We weren't even a hour out of Seattle and I was already thinking of what to cosplay next. x3;; ) I do hope to be bringing a certain Aki along with me in 2007... rolleyes heart Naroo make her own costumes next year!? HELL YES.
