Project Angel - Prologue
I don't usually like telling a long story. Especially when those stories are filled with painful moments- the kind of moments I don't like talking about. I thought my life would be a fun-filled magical girl romp. I thought I'd be doing something pretty awesome. Then... every secret I held during my life came out. Everything about my family, everything about what happened around me- this was not supposed to happen. None of it was.
I lost everything. My family, my friends, my true love.... I thought I would be happy with being a magical girl. I thought that would give me the answers I sought. But the answers I found instead cost me everything. And yet... why do I still live?
I ask myself that question a lot, especially when I tell a story like this. Every word I say feels like a sharp needle in my body. And yet, if I don't tell anyone, I'll never escape my past. I'll just become another shadow under the sun.
My name is Izumi Myamoto. This is my story. A story of a teenage girl and her secrets. Secrets that were never supposed to be revealed.
