I was reading over some old pokemon things. I got bored. And I found something that is the dumbest thing I have ever read.
You all remember the Pokemon Jynx, from the original 150? She(or it?) is RACIST!
WTF!?!?!? how some dumb black woman says thats racist I don't really know.
Okay, jet black skin, I might accept, though I've never seen a black person that dark.
Big lips.....WTF? I've never seen black people as having big lips, but whatever...
Long Blond hair....STOP! Okay, I have NEVER seen a black person with long BLONDE hair. That alone shoots down the womans idea.
Nevertheless, a racist (She is horribly racist) black womans comments got the pokemon a makover, making it purple. And Several episodes BANNED.

To Defend Jynx:
First off, as I stated, BLACK PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE BLONDE HAIR!
Second, it could be based off Ganguro style in japan. Girls tan as dark as the possibly can, and dye their hair blond. (Its not that attractive....just creepy IMO)
Thridly, For Christs sake, ITS A CREATURE IN A VIDEO GAME!
Fourth, I know planty of black people who were/are fans of pokemon. They look at Jynx(the orginal colored jynx), and they aren't offended. That woman just wanted to find something to complain about.
Fifth, to defend the name, its is not in reference to blacks link with voodoo magic. Not sure HOW they got that name, but it wasn't racist.

I know this is a REALLY old topic, but reading it, I had to get it off my chest.
Sometimes I wonder if people deliberately search for something just to call it racist? Such was the fate of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.(Don't get me started)

Well, I just needed to vent this out. I know nothing will ever come of it. But I feel better for having said it.
