There's a lot of common knowledge sayings out in the world, but just because everyone knows them doesn't mean they're right.
Example:
1-"Fortune favors the bold"
2-"Good things come to those who wait"

Everyone knows both of these, but they're contradictory.

In reality, I'd say "Fortune favors the bold" is correct. Most good things in life don't just come to you by waiting for them to happen. I'd love it if I could profit from my patience, but the fact is it's the assertiveness that gets s**t.
