I find it laughable when we lose someone dear to us that no matter how strong we say we are, that were at our weakest. Immortal and mortal alike; we mourn. Though it sparks a question within me: Does the divine do the same or perhaps they are so refined of stone they don't feel as we do.
The glint of sunlight broke through my eyelids giving a redden glow. The ground was soft and a gentle breeze skimmed my face. Blades of tall grass dancing with the air and the orchestra of song from the birds. Pain shot through my jaw breaking the perfect scene, knocking reality back into me. Crystal was no longer living.
Anger and sadness overwhelmed me and the gates that held them at bay shattered. I lifted my head up roaring in agony. Tears began to stream down my pale cheeks. I pounded my fists into the ground repeatedly until they bled and began to hurt.
I failed her.
"You know you continue to do that you'll get serious injury." a voice came from behind me.
