Yesterday I got off the plane I was welcomed by the warm sun and the cool breeze that was California. Not being here in a year really made me miss everything about it, even the things I hated. When I walked in the the airport I had a huge smile on my face because I saw my Auntie S, Uncle C, and my cousins Nemo, Dorri, and Anemone. They all welcomed me with great big hugs and were all happy to see me. I was finally with people that didn't have any problems toward me, and Nemo was especially happy to see me. He doesn't seem to like Brandon much, but always hangs around me, even when I don't ask him to. Dorri didn't say anything....as usual, and since Anemone was only a couple of months old, she didn't really say anything she just waved her arms.
When I finally got to their house, I almost cried. I was one of those houses in the California country side where it was peaceful and no city smog, and completely quite, something I haven't had in a while. They helped me with my bags, and rushed me into their house. I was so happy, feeling the warm air, people happy to see me, and I just felt like.....I was really home. The kids wanted to play outside with me while Auntie S and Uncle C watched, so I did. I never felt a more pleasant feeling in my life.
For dinner Auntie S tried to make a great welcome dinner, but she almost set the house on fire! I was really tired and still didn't remember where everything was, so we just called for pizza.
Today we decided to all go to the beach and have some fun. Uncle C can't go because of work, so it's just me, Auntie S, and the kids. I get to tan, go on the boardwalk, and take a couple of snap shots while i'm at it too. Maybe i'll see a couple of familiar faces....
