"He's lying", these words rang through my head as he caressed my cheek gently with his hands.
My heart raced against my chest, sending the same shots of adrenaline through my body, as when we first held hands.
The familiar scent of his, grew stronger as he leaned in to kiss me. The routine-d placing of his hands on my waist, as he proceeded to crush his lips against mine.
Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as reality hit me. His heart was never mine to begin with, it was never anyone's to begin with. He governed his own heart well enough, and it was never touched, and was never swayed.
All that mattered to him was the lust that consumed his thoughts.
And as his lips separated from mine, trembling, I whispered,
"Enough."
