Orso, is attractive by any standard not just in his looks and compactly toned body; which admittedly the most noticeable but he also has an instinctive talent towards things that do make him more impressive such as couples dancing, singing, playing music and any other activity that would essentially see him called a heart throb or the perfect man. My life? Oh, I almost forgot to tell you:
From the cradle, Orso was always a fast favourite of the Olympian Women. They showered him with gifts and hardly took their eyes off him save to look after their own children. They all adored the tiny baby Orso, who giggled and laughed and smiled at their touch and held them tight when they picked him up and soon, before the boy could even walk there was talk of arranging him to marry their own Demi-God daughters. One particular fan of Orso’s was Hera, Zeus’s wife.
However, there was one woman whom had become disenchanted by Orso and this was his own mother, the Goddess of Love: Aphrodite. After mostly siring daughters, Aphrodite had no idea as to how she should respond to her only son; he had no hair to brush, no dresses to try on and eventually he would become what Aphrodite tried so hard to ensnare and dumfound, a man. Thus, after she sired a new daughter with another man who wasn’t Orso’s father, Orso was left in the care of the other Olympian women without a mother in all but blood.
Strangely, Orso was somewhat content with his lineage and his situation; easily accept who he was, what he was and where he was unlike some of the other Demi-Gods whom had let their status soar to their heads. He caused no real trouble, helping out all the ladies of Olympus in one way or another whether it be through chores or counsel and eventually solidified his position as Olympus’s most popular Demi-God. Zeus meanwhile, was still not too happy about the apparent interest that his wife was showing in the young lad which came to a head on Orso’s 16th birthday, six years before the Demi-Gods were first sent to Earth in order to mature and learn their responsibilities, when Orso was banished from Olympus.
It was on the boy’s birthday, that the women of Olympus decided that it was time to present their daughters to Aphrodite’s young son. His mother, disinterested, instead of giving the young lad a present; set the boy a challenge. Aphrodite said that if Orso could seduce a Goddess, as his sister could easily do with any God, then maybe she would give him the greatest present of all: A mother’s love. At first hesitant, Orso accepted the challenge after being goaded by his sister. Orso decided that the best person to try and accomplish the great labour was Hera, the Goddess he was closest to and the Goddess who could potentially get him in the most trouble if her husband, Zeus, was to find out. So, it began that morning, Orso set about to seducing Hera.
Beforehand, he had only ever coasted by, being average but now for the love of his mother decided to be extraordinary and showed how in a lot of ways, he was the rue heir to his mother. He took Hera walking through the gardens of Olympus, cooked her a meal and by the end of the night before his birthday feast had even managed to secure a small birthday kiss from the lady. Growing overconfident, Orso then at the dinner table made an inappropriate comment towards Hera that would see his fate changed forever. Zeus grabbed the boy by the scruff of the neck and threw him down to Earth without a second thought and Hera heartbroken that her ‘favourite’ was apparently gone forever left the table sobbing.
Even after Hera learnt from Aphrodite about the challenge she had set her son, Hera blamed Aphrodite not Orso and mercifully guided Orso towards his remaining human family; his Father’s Mother and his Grandmother.
The little old lady, Angelica Di Domenico owned a small café and upon seeing Orso at her door, almost had a heart attack thinking she was seeing the ghost of her dead son. Able to calm her down, Orso told her everything about his mother who Angelica knew as ‘Venus’ and how he was actually a Demi-God. As all humans she was reluctant to believe her Grandson until he displayed a few of his superhuman abilities such as Female Telepathy and the ability to guess women’s breast sizes by looking at them, even though Angelica disapproved of the latter. Smiling, the old lady’s doubt soon became joy as she realised she was no longer alone and the two developed a great bond as Orso continued to help in the café as both a waiter and a baker. It was in this café with Angelica that Orso discovered his love for cooking and baking; holding it as the greatest love in his life. Angelica proud of the man her Grandson was becoming talked to him about his heritage and his Father who had recently lost a battle with cancer. Saddened, Orso resolved to try harder and in doing so became a master baker attracting national attention to his Grandmother’s shop and gaining himself international fame as more and more teenage girls around the world fell in love with him.
This went on for years as Orso soon became set to inherit the shop but after Orso had drawn too much attention to himself; Zeus had to do something in order to bring him under control. He invited Orso to live with his Demi-God peers whom he hadn’t seen for six long years and thought that if he gave Orso the chance to redeem himself he would take it. Of course, the Son of Aphrodite did take the chance reluctantly after Hera came to his Grandmother’s shop and convinced him to move into the house…
Some little things I may be like:
A natural bachelor; Orso is funny, charismatic, well-spoken and charming as well as humble and honest making him quite the catch for any young lady to land. Orso can be flattering, sensitive and somewhat understanding towards female friends and company and due to his good looks is more than able to attract women with a carefully placed smile and wink here and there. He is the ultimate flirt and his want for female attention can often get him into a lot of trouble and has earned him the reputation of being a Casanova. People fear that Orso will never be able to have a monogamous relationship and often chastise and abuse him for his flirtatious nature to comedic effect.
To his male comrades, Orso is a loyal friend and wingman happy to help them in their pursuits of fine young ladies and true love. The only thing that can make Orso a bad friend towards his male companions is girls, if Orso and a friend fall for the same lady; its winner takes all in a fight to the finish that can get both parties in a lot of trouble.
Orso’s two main strange habits are his inability to lie, instilled in him by his Grandmother and his use of baking related inuendos.
