You told me I have the tendency to date piece of s**t guys,
Then you told me you weren't any different.
You tell me you just make shitty decisions,
But I can't help but wonder what kind of decisions you make?

And while you didn't answer me,
I don't find myself feeling mad,
Because I'm hoping you finally fell asleep and are resting happily.

You need me though, I can feel it.
Need me more than you had intended to.
You need me to fall asleep at night and I know it, cause you rest so easy when I'm by your side,
But you can't sleep at all when I'm in my own.

And I know I'm gonna fall for you,
And that scares me but at the same time its exhilarating,
But for now my guard will be up, I want to take my time with this, with us, emotionally I want it to develop slowly.

Just don't be so shy,
Nobody's gonna bite you.
We're a loving family and once they all see you have the ability to be good to me they'll love you.

"You were a nice friend. I think you're good for me, make me less of an a*****e."

Isn't that a good thing, though? Don't we all need someone that makes us want to be a better person?
And if I can be that for you then I think you should keep me around.
I'm not the type to run away scared,
Never have been, never will be.

My loyalty is the trait that I love the most about myself.
Even if it kills me most days, my loyalty never falters.
Until one fateful day where I'll cheat on some guy for ******** with me too many times,
But you haven't reached that stage
And as long as you're good to me and you treat me well you never will.

So you can say you're an a*****e,
But I can tell you're trying to hard to be better than that, and you're doing all that for me.

This is the point where most people would say "I love you,"
But its far too soon to say that,
So instead I'll say thank you.
