This probably won't be a long entry. Today, our DSM was visiting. It wasn't too long after I got there, that a customer ended up calling 911. I believe she was diabetic, and feeling faint. She thought it wasn't serious, but they managed to talk her into going with them anyway. It was a little startling to see an ambulance in front of the store, after coming back from helping another customer.

Afterwards, the two top managers went to lunch, and stayed away for about 2 hours. During that time, we had two ladies come in with their kids, a boy and girl. The little girl was maybe 3, and I couldn't really understand what she was saying, but she was so cute! Until she started ducking around the desk and going to play with the flashlight. A few minutes later, I noticed a woman signalling me from the door. She wasn't sure if we were open, because the door was apparently locked? That's when I realized the little girl must've hit the button for the magnet lock. Pfft.

It was almost 5 when I was offered a break. She looked at me and asked, "Do you need a 10 minute break, or are you good?" I wanted to laugh. I told her I wanted the break, there was a banana that had been calling my name for the past two hours.

So of course, we did not make it to Ash Wednesday services, but I'm not all that surprised. I would've liked to make it, but I don't need ashes to start my forty days right. As long as I try to make that connection that I want.

Love of My Heart by CeCe Winans always puts me in a sweet mood. I know I said I wouldn't mention this anymore, but I figure it's okay, because I'm not going into detail. I'm trying to work myself up now, but my default thought is still 'I'm gonna fall over dead from the anxiety.'
