Rad's dumb journal
I'm not really going for a quality journal here.
Some things on gaia that's always sorta baffled me:

yum_strawberry -if you're going to have item announcements all the time, and make the open for code in the post, why wouldn't they have a box there where people could try on the item? Honestly with how this mechanism exists in other areas of the site, it would really just be a copy and paste of the concept. You could even put a button to buy cash for it or spend existing cash for the item.

yum_strawberry -another thing that REALLY confuses me is how little gaia tries when it comes to making money.....the items don't always have to be wearable, they could be ways to further yourself in the game, ways to improve the look of your journal, and even minigames themselves that give you a unique authorized code that makes it so only your avatar can join a game with chatroom that might give a chance to win unique items.
yum_strawberry -Uhm, lock items to prevent them being traded or sold in the marketplace? This seems a bit cruel, but I think it helps in the long run. The phone app LINE Play does this to an excess that I'm unsure is too profitable. However, I think many people are fed up with inflation and this can truly stop it from getting out of hand (or at least help) and this gives those with gold more power while making the paid items still coveted. The only issue I see here is that there could be a complete boycott of these paid ventures....which well, you gotta take a risk honey. Make the items respectable and be a company people don't get sick of dealing with. Give actually worthwhile opportunities that don't seem like someone is just earning their basic rights. Make the non-paying side experience a great site that they want to continue to be on and plan to eventually enjoy further.

yum_strawberry -In fact, making paid opportunities to make the site more customizeable, allow people to unlock certain features that increase convenience, even making certain things like naming game rooms that have apparently gone out of hand be something to pay for. Why not have raffles and contests, too? Easily making there be an entry fee for certain contests could be done, along with prizes exclusive to that specific contest, or to contests altogether. Even having a section on your profile or journal with certain achievements won along with huge ones like that where you're one of a few at most, can increase passion for these things and be a fairly worthwhile reward.

yum_strawberry -Also there seems to be like, zero involvement with what's actually popular on the forums and such when I check official announcements, and that's pretty sad. Why not actually involve yourself with rewarding huge threads that have been popular for years or at least mentioning them? You'd think there'd be a newsletter that was more socially involved.

But whatever, I'm sure these are flawed suggestions, and there's certainly more to be said, I just can't help but feel there needs to be less "quick fix" things being done and more coding overhauls. Making an item that cost money every day isn't going to save this site from collapsing.
