Lan was born in a place known as Sky Sanctuary thousands of years ago. He was the first born child the the goddess of vampires and god of angels. Though he was half vampire and half angel, when he was born he had no wing, no fangs and he had strange blue hair. When his brothers and sisters were born, they all had either wings or fangs and sometime both. He also noticed that he aged much slower then they did. One day the great neko god came to sky sancttuary to speak to Lan's parents. He warns them that if Lan ever fill inlove with a human, their way of life would end. The neko god was a blind god, but he was so wise that he could see the future even if he could see nothing else. What could happen to make Lan fall inlove with a human Lan's parents asked, thinking it would never happen.
