It's not really a poem in fact many people know this, because they can use it to describe a relationship they had or have.
Its funny how close we can be,
yet i feel so far apart from you.
The more you step towards me,
the faster i take that step backwards.
You can be so close to me that,
i can feel your breath on the back of my neck.
Yet at the same time,
we're universes apart.
Everyday you smile lovingly to me,
in return all i can do is give you,
an empty smile filled with nothing but sarrow.
To my otherwordly eyes,
your nothing more than an empty shell.
Awaiting it's unworthy demise.
For your mortal eyes are blinded by it all,
you believe that everything is wonderous.
So in return the least i can do,
was let you live in that glorious dream.
When in reality our relationship falls to,
peaces slowly by slowly until theres nothing left to fall.
Soon i will no longer know you,
no longer will i return my sympethetic smile.
You will grieve over your greatest loss.
Only then will you realize
you lost my love and trust along with my pitty towards you,
many moons ago.
