Well, my 2nd Gaiaversary was yesterday, and I didn't even get to go on Gaia at all yesterday. It sucked, but there's nothing I can do. I did get some awesome presents from people, and I'm supposed to be awaiting some more, love to all my friends.
It's so difficult to get on the computer and find some time to write, the only chance I ever seem to earn is late at night, and I can barely stand to stare at the screen. The internet gets really boring when everything everyone wants you to look at and watch is too much for your shitty connection. I really hope that when I get my job, I can convince them to let me upgrade us to DSL or something. Plus, it's distracting when Sophia is down here, or I'm typing away and Kelly's in the other room because I'm worried that me using the phone line is bothering her. I wish I could get something up in my room, I know that sounds funny, but I need to concentrate.
It's been a while, Prom was last week. I don't know how I feel towards not going now, it's like it's somewhere else in my head right now, but last week, when everyone kept going on about it and showing pictures, I did feel a lot of regret for not going. Thursday was Grad Nite as well, where the Seniors can go on a class trip to Disneyland and they spend all night there. I didn't bother to ask my dad if I could go, because we're supposed to go on this 3-day trip at the end of the month to Disneyland, Universal Studios, and the beach, so I thought it would sound spoiled to ask to go to this too, especially when the trip alone would cost $150. I'm sure everyone will be talking about it tomorrow too, so I can't wait to hear them blab on about it.
I need to call that guy from CCSN to see if my Financial Aid forms got processed and if I'm qualified, also during the week I need to get that Scholarship Application in and look for some more. Sunday is Sophia's birthday, and I'm thinking of making a little movie collage sort of thing with all the shots Dad has taken, it sounds like a nice present, I can't think of anything really good to give her, and I want her to have that for when she gets older and can really appreciate something like that from her big brother.
School is school. I'm still dreading graduation, and I need to jump on the registration deal for CCSN, and keep looking for job applications, because I'm so always on the ball with things like this. I got an unsat in the mail when I got home yesterday, and I panicked but it was just Ms. Klein to tell me I was "A Pleasure to have in class". I don't know why they waste their energy giving out positive unsats.
Here's what I meant about not having time. I had to finish this about 30 minutes after I started it, because Kelly had to use the phone. That's what I mean about never having the time. Oh well, no point bitching about it.
It's been a nice weekend, though weekends rarely aren't. Friday I went to UNLV, because a friend of mine Jennifer was having her BFA Art Exhibit (Bachelor of Fine Arts) because Saturday she graduated, and she invited us to see some of her work and come buy some t-shirts. I loved some of the stuff she had for show, she even had some of these alien bunnie plushies she had designed and crafted them herself. I couldn't believe some of the stuff, George took a lot of photos. One of her roommates for the studio she works in did this beautiful piece of this cherry blossom tree, she even threw some on the floor to make it look like they'd been falling. They had little free sandwiches and cookies, so I grabbed a few, but I'd already eaten. She didn't sell too many shirts, but they'll probably go over better on the next Anime Vegas.
Saturday was Anime Vegas, so I got up early and caught the bus as usual. When we got to Pecos, I spotted Tabatha getting on, so I stood up and waited in the middle, gauging her reaction of seeing me on the bus, but she almost walked right by me, so I practically jumped in her way. When she sat down though, this other guy got next to her and started talking to her all friendly, so I guess they had been chatting at the bus stop, so I left them alone. When he got off though, she made that symbol for looney, you know the one where you spin your finger near your temple. He had been like hitting on her and stuff, but she told me about him, and I hadn't liked him already anyway, he gave off this sort of aura, where you can know there's something about the person you just don't like. There was that, and the fact that I wanted to talk to her.
We got off the bus and started walking, so we bugged each other about the heat, because it was killing the both of us, but mostly Tabatha. Jen saw us as we were heading towards Walgreens, we were too hot and thirsty to stop at the library, so she ran to catch up to us. We got drinks, ate breakfast at McDonalds, and went inside.
The screening was fun, but that idiot came into the theatre and sat down with Tabatha. She had accidentally told him where she was going, and he hd shown up. He wouldn't leave her alone, and he basically ruined the whole day for her. He finally took a hint when I made up a lie that we were all going to Veronica's house and he wasn't coming. Then we just waited around outside after AV was over so Veronica could get picked up by her mom. Outside were these bunch of kids who the whole screening had been loud and obnoxious, one of them in particular had been jumping on chairs and screaming at her friends. We thought she was trying to look like Vincent from FFVII, but it turned out she was Alucard from Hellsing. Don't know if that was better or worse.
Anyway, the infamous thing about her was that she had this annoying wig, I wanted to rip off of her head. So I asked who dared me to snatch it from her. Veronica and Jen convinced me, so I walked up and tried to take it, but she started screaming like she was dying, so I swung her around a little until she let go. She sort of half-assed came after me, but then she walked over to her friend, who went feral, and screamed, "GIVE THE ******** WIG BACK NOW! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT.....YO." Yeah, for some reason, she was having so fun pretending to be black, she accidentally added "yo" to the end of the threat, which basically made me laugh my a** off in response, so I gave it back. Then they tried to be all cool and yell out loud when we were walking Veronica to the car that they were glad we were leaving. Just wait, come back next month I dare you. I'll make your life a living nightmare.
Well, then we went outside and meant with my better half, Emi, and we sat around the cars talking and messing around and stuff, which was a lot of fun. Everyone went their seperate ways, Tabatha, Alan, Jen and I went to get some more to drink, then Jen kind of sulked and had to walk home by herself, I probably should have walked her. Me and Tabatha had this argument about the distance of throwing a battery, then she laughed when I freaked out because this huge beetle flew by. We didn't really talk on the bus, I don't know why, but Tabatha got off on this stop out of nowhere, and then later I realized she still had the cards that Wei-Chih gave me from the Naruto card game, and the CD's Jen gave me. I guess she "forgot" to give me the Black Cat series. xp
