Today....I woke up...I wish I hadn't....
Because what I witnessed this morning, isn't something I'd reccommend....Infact, I wish it didn't even happen to me/my mother.
Because what we saw...was our cat.
Your probably thinking, "Oh well, you saw your cat...Big deal." But, what you don't know is that...He was stiff as a board. Yes, he had passed away over the night. Of course, he was soaking wet, being outside and all. But, what else you don't know is that his face was completely slashed on one side...His mouth looked like it was filled with cobwebs. His leg also had a gash in it. My kitten...was/is dead.
He would be a year in a month, but, he had to be brutally murdered. We think it was a possum....
Our other cat even tried to tell me when I went to bed last night. You see....I was up late, around 4pm, and Nico doesn't exactly scream or meow....so I wouldn't have heard him. But, anyways...around 4pm I went to the door to let my cats in, both Nico and FixXxer...I expected a kitten to run by, and FixXxer to just stare at me for a while. I got the second...but not the first. That was when the bad feeling started....
So, FixXxer did come in, but he never made it far. You see he wanted back outside...He was soaking wet and wanted outside...odd. But, when he DID get outside....He sat there and meowed and began to walk towards the place wherein we found Nico. I didn't think anything of it, cause the stooge usually does turn around and walk away meowing.
So, I went to bed.
Stupid me...I should have listened eh?
Well...anyways...My cat is dead...Yea, am I overreacting? I don't know...I loved that cat....My mom said she will miss him sitting in our Japanese Maple outside the window, I will aswell.
It was hard when my sister saw him...she ran in crying and then I had to follow after seeing his scars, Why do cats always fall on the side they are hurt? She started to talk to me, and she said, "I want another Nico..." and hell, I just broke there. I couldn't stand to hear that, especially from a four year old girl.
So basically, I'm depressed and crying today.
