It's hard to believe it's already July, where has the time gone? I hate and love to see fall merchandise come in, part of me thinks it's too soon, while the other part of me fondly reminisces on back to school shopping.

I want to go places, before the summer is over, but it's just such a huge commitment to make. I want to go with my family. We never really did vacations, except two really sweaty trips to Dallas that as an older person I would definitely need more coercion to agree to. I am fine with making do with what is close by.

Moody Gardens is close by. We got as far as agreeing on the aquarium. Besides trying to sit on the money without dipping into it (I failed fantastically, but I'd give up an entire paycheck if it meant we could do it) there is this space problem.

We ride in a minivan. The six of us can fit, but it is NOT a comfortable ride. There are several problems with it these days, including the AC being messed up and the need to put water in it even when we are just making trips through town. We've been looking at new and old vehicles for months now, but my dad(who would be paying for the whole shebang) just can't settle. It would be good if we could find something big enough to hold us, and my sister with her two infant kids. Something that my mom, who is still recovering, could get into without having to hoist herself up in. Then there is my older sister, Chris, who is the main driver these days. She doesn't want to drive anything big, and it really eats at me when she doesn't hide her scorn at the thought of driving another van.

Anyways it's all up in the air, but I really want to do this.

I really do wish I was out dating, but I'm not and that's okay too.
