Sung-Min pushes open the heavy iron door, and into the light. A slow pop song with a slight jazz vibe fills the air. Sweaty, young people dance to the music as the skilled female rapper spits each well-executed rhyme after another onstage. He gently pushes past the crowd, finding himself nodding along to the gentle beat. She was definitely good. Gotten better since the last time he'd seen her, anyway.
He heads for the front, and soon sees the person he'd come to find. Her easy-to-spot bleached brown hair was tied into a neat pony-tail, swaying to the beat with her body.
"Ji-Yoon!" He leans down and says into her ear, grabbing her shoulders and shaking her gently. In case she didn't hear him over the noise.
Startled, Ji-Yoon spins around. "Sung-Min?!" she squeals, throwing her arms around him, happily squeezing and knocking all the air out of his lungs. "Sung-Min! I can't believe you're back!" She shouts over the speakers.
"Yeah!" He shoves the overly-energetic girl off of himself, thankful to be able to breathe again. "Not for long, but I thought I'd swing by and say hi. I figured you'd be here." He glances at the stage, at the leather-jacket clad, suave female rapper dancing as a petite angelic-voiced singer took over the chorus. "So, ()'s improved a lot."
"She's been working pretty hard." Ji-Yoon agrees, nodding vigorously, "Practicing a lot. This is her third gig this month."
They turn back towards the stage, towards their high-school friend ().
