Everything is blurry
Can’t remember
Memories are all bits of a puzzle

Remembering a day when it was sunny and bright
Glancing at the time
Seeing you were running late
As your feet pounded the earth

You didn’t see the steel beast charging fast
Hearing the wind call a name
Too late to move from the beast

Feeling a shadow brush past
Plummeting to the ground, heart beating rapidly
You get up to see…
A body destroyed by the beast
A friend to you but not to others
Laying there in his ruby blood
