Shalimar's turn...again. Part 1
Shalimar's point of view
Opening my eyes, I knew instantly I was in a dream. How did I know when everything appeared to be normal? Easy. Grandmother, Grandfather, Mother, Father, and Aunt Nogard were chained to a wall across from me. Grandmother, Grandfather, and Father were dead; and Aunt Nogard only existed within Mother--unless she found away to escape again. I saw Grandmother die, Grandfather died at momma's hands due to Aunt Nogard's influence, and Father died protecting me and momma. Somewhere in the distance, I heard Nissa talking to someone. [+1]

Unlike my parents and grandparents, I was unfettered. Sitting up, I realized I had grown to full size. A little shocked, I muttered, "This a dream. Only a dream."

"It is only a dream as far as you are concerned," a voice whispered into my left ear.

Whipping around, I extended my claws and growled. "Corrigan!"

"You know my name?" the man asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"You killed my grandmother!" I snarled, rushing forward.

"Down kitty," Corrigan said, flicking a finger at me.

A blast of dark energy sent me tumbling backwards. Slamming into the far wall, I was paralyzed for a moment as the shock of the blast wore off. Standing to my feet, I growled, "What do you want?"

"Your entire family is rather...special," Corrigan said. "Your grandmother and grandfather are the reincarnations of the first two dragons. The dragon you call 'father' is the reincarnation of Draco [+2] himself. Your mother's body houses the spirit of the trigalaxies most powerful demon--your aunt--and keeps her under lock and key for ninety percent of the time. You yourself are the results of the souls of nine dragon princesses force melded into one body."

"So you know my heritage, whoop-de-doo," I replied, flicking my tail angerly. "What of it?"

"Your relatives were rather easy to overcome with their respective marks I put on them," Corrigan said. "The mark I put on your grandfather prevented him from fighting back when your mother attacked him. The mark I put on your grandmother allowed me to slowly sap her strength from her until she was as fragile as glass. The mark on your mother allows me to control when and where your aunt comes out."

"And my mark?"

Corrigan grinned.

[+1] Clickie for Chazu's entry.
[+2] Clickie--however, Draco only thought himself to be the last; he was stubborn in not transforming into human form.
