10.5 hours. In a car. With a little munchkin, your 40-year-old cousin, your parents, your Godmother, and a whole shitload of luggage.
S'me, since 5 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon.
I slept for a good 2 hours. That's not much, though, considering I got about 4 minutes of sleep before my alarm clock beeped. XP
I got up, dressed, and help pack into the rented mini-van at around 5:30, and we were on our way, with my aunt/uncle and little Jimenita (my other cousin) in another car.
We stopped at Starbucks, and made plenty of rest stops. I listened to my iPod, called friends (Thank Christ for free weekends on the mobile!) [Andrew included. There. Don't feel left out, Andrew! XD), and ate. And talked to my Godmother (one Hell of a wonderful woman) for the majority of the ride, took pictures, and stared out the window. Oh yeah. And poked my sister. She's so squishy. XD
We ate at some ghetto BBQ restaraunt, with the crappiest "Award-Winning Chilli" on the planet. Jimena spared me some fries. >___>
We arrived in Destin at around 4 to 5, and we've just been looking around town, and we eventually found our rented beach house, and it's perfect. Plenty of room for everyone - (********, I got stuck on the upper bunk of the bunk bed.) - and it's sanitary and conveniently close to the beach and some good restaraunts.
(God, so many damn Waffle Houses out here. ;______; )
So we're chillin', and Tomas' dad may become an FBI Agent, FYI. I don't know the whole story, but I'll be sure to ask him 'bout it and keep you updated. Cx
So this has basically been my first day - *drools, remembering the two Banana Coconut Fraps at Starbucks + the Starbucks Classic Coffee Cake* - on the just-about-kind of-whatever-I-want-more-food-annual trip to Destin, Florida. 2006.
I'll post again tomorrow. Peace.
