Chapter 1

"King Andrei may see you now," said the uniformed guard.

Corix and Megan stood up and followed the guard towards the king's chambers. Each were wearing elaborate robes made with the finest fabrics. Corix was wearing a lavender robe and an armlet studded with pale blue crystals. Megan on the other hand wore a yellow robe carefully tailored to compliment her fine figure. Two earrings studded with yellow crystals adorn her right ear. Passing over a mirror, Megan caught a glimpse of their reflection and she smiled to herself.

The guard stopped in front of a large wooden door. He face Corix and Megan. "The king's quarters almighty Archons."

"Corix, Megan. How are you guys? To what reason do I get the pleasure of your visit today?" welcomed the king. He was seated to a cushion set on the floor rubbing the back of Eril, a white tiger he had since it was a cub. The tiger yawned exposing its white dagger-like fangs. The king was wearing a white robe with fur trimmings.

"Where's your talisman Andrei?" asked Corix motioning towards the king's empty ring finger.

"Ah that troublsome ring? It's here," he smiled pulling out a silver necklace. There hanged like a pendant, a silver ring studded with a white crystal. "Don't worry I never leave it behind as promised."

"Good. Now Andrei, Corix and I are here because we would like to ask a favor of you," said Megan.

"What kind of favor?"

"It involves the academy. You must have heard of the twins," answered Corix.

"Oh the special ones. Khalill and Killian right? What can I do for them?"

"As you well know the two of them turned out to be from a very rare bloodline of warlocks. Elementals. We would like to maximize their potentials by allowing them to train with one with similar gifts," explained Megan.

"Philip?" asked Andrei.

"Precisely. Philip is an Earth elemental. Corix with his illusions and my ability to replicate can only teach them the basics like how to control their powers and some basic spells."

"Philip on the other hand would be able to teach the twins to harness their gifts to their full potentials," completed Corix.

"You need me to talk to Philip?" asked Andrei.

"More like persuade Philip. We tried to talk to him but he is being stubborn. He hid himself and unfortunately we were unable to find him," said Corix.

"Yes. Philip is quite a hard-headed person sometimes. He is one of us though. An Archon with the gift to move mountains. Quite a talent," said Andrei.

"A rare talent put to waste. Ever since Sef died, he slowly drifted to nothing. He has forgotten his duties as an Archon," said Megan.

Andrei walked towards the room's terrace. Just outside stood a large tree wherein a thousand birds of all shapes and sizes lay perched. Using his gift he ordered the birds to fly out and find Philip.Almost in unison the birds flapped their mighty wings and scattered in all directions. They will find Philip, that much he knows.

"My scouts are already on him. I just hope he would listen to me," said Andrei.

"He will. If Philip would listen to anybody that would have to be you," said Corix hopingly.
