We attended a wedding for our two friends on that day, and we went home from the outside affair where it was FREEZING and crashed. I kicked him out of his bed, and he slept on the couch. (He's such a pushover. ^__^) Well, sometime later, he came in the room after his nap and turned on the light. This brought the natural reaction of my covering my head under the blanket. This is a reenactment:
Teresa: ::covers head with blanket:: ::makes hissing sound::
Wendell: I just have to get something out of my drawer. ::shuffles:: ::leaves and turns out the light::
Teresa: ^_________^
Apparently, my engagement ring was in the dresser drawer. He left for a second, then came back into the room and turned on the light. This again caused my previous reaction. This is what happened:
::light turns on::
Teresa: ::ducks under the covers and moans in protest::
::small pause::
Wendell: Teresa, will you look up at me for a second?
Teresa: ::looks up, and Wendell's on one knee beside the bed:: eek What're you doing????!
Wendell: Teresa, will you marry me?
Teresa: ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS???!!
Wendell: ::big smile::
And then I proceeded to panic. I said yes (OF COURSE!!) and now it's official. ^__^
